Sligo set to swoop for Noctor
Strong rumors are circling the local soccer scene that rising Killybegs teenager Jason Noctor could be on his way to Premier division side Sligo Rovers.
Noctor [18] was this week named in Harry McCue's FAI/FAS development squad that will travel to England to play games against Peterborough Utd and Ipswich Town.
Rovers will be well informed as to the youngsters potential through Sligo A boss Brian Dorrian who previously coached his home town club, while senior star Seamie Coleman would have played along side the teenager in his final season with the Saints.
Similar to Coleman the young Killybegs man is a talented Gaelic footballer and his departure would be a big blow to Killybegs GAA coach Martin Boyle's plans at the height of championship season.
If Dorrian does make a move for his former protege he will have to wait until July when the transfer window opens.
At the time of going to press the Post was unable to contact Dorrian, but have been informed on good authority that the interest is genuine.
