Question TEXT Update: Michael Holt transfer

TRANSFER NEWS: Reports today suggest that Derry City have signed St.Pats stricker Micheal Holt from underneath the noses of Longford Town
I got this news form the text update service, now I was under the impression we didn't agree terms and I'm happy at that because he's a money grabbing cnut... good job the robbed him from under our noses...

if that is true, holt won't be coming to us and eric will be staying put as i feel derry were the main option for a sale
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

    two things needed to occur,

    1. We needed to agree terms with Holt which I told he was very pricy and overrated, hope Matthews viewed him as a half-chance and was going to pay him accordingly, i.e. feck all.

    2. Eric Lavine needed to move to Derry the free-up said wages and no fee was agreed + Matthews and Lavine kissed and made up...

Don't think there was much chance in anything happening from our side, Holts been out of contract for some time now...

I thought it was a non-runner because of wages then I get this text and i deduct (which I nearly always wrong) that we were still interested, which is strange if Lavine wasn't to move!!

Would rule out Keely wanting Lavine too....

You missed probably the main reason you got this text..... Your (and anyone else's signed up) 30c.... Type of story perfect for a slow Town news day....

Not that I'm cynical or anything....
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
