The transport system there really is very good. Not a lot of touristy things to do but a nice city to walk around, loads of different designed buildings and a great city for nightlife I'd imagine. I think Prague has a bad reputation for crime etc. but really it's not as bad as is made out imo.

    Might move over

EDIT: Forgot to say, met a Pat's fan at a Slavia Prague friendly match. He saw the Rovers jersey I had on and came over.

Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

The transport is very cheap, but as for the rest of the place, it's alco/nympho-friendly, not touristy. Dublin is far more attractive for tourists.

Nonsense, unless you're a total philistine. I spent four days in Prague and found lots to do and see. Stojkovic listed a good chunk but there's even more. Prague is quite a lovely city aesthetically in the centre although facades and monuments have been neglected, particularly since the counter revolution (or is that counter counter revolution?). There's work being undertaken to restore them but that actually took away from the castle and bridge while I was there but it's necessary work.

With regards to prices, there can be a huge disparity between prices of simple products like water or a bottle of coke. I've seen water range from 50czk koruna to as low at 18czk. You've got to shop around not to get ripped off. You also tend to get whacked with random "service charges" in restaurants which are allegedy for the salt, pepper, sauces, bread and waiting service. Again, some places are perfectly decent and hit you with none of the add ons. Also, the Czech koruna has steadily grown stronger since last year so it was less expensive for those telling you how cheap it is who went a year ago or more.

There's a sex toy museum off the main square as well; can't remember what street exactly though.

Ok so i went for about 8 days. have to say I think Prague is a great city and def will go back there.
I did check out the torture museum and found it equally disturbing and fascinating, jesus some of the contraptions make the eyes water!

Didn't get to the communism museum which is a pity and went to the wax musuem instead which was a big mistake, it was rubbish. the national museum was good, and also went to the toy musuem.
The castle on the hill (!) is cool, and the zoo with bot gardens nearby was a highlight.
Found the public transport easy to use and cheap - metro, tram and bus. Kind of puts Dublin to shame really here.

Managed to p on the Charles Bridge one night coming home rat ossed - (heh i have a weak bladder) which made me think is there a holiday series out there - bennocelts guide to ****ing on top holiday landmarks!!!
Wasn't as busy as dublin on a night out, the place was virtually deserted on the Saturday night i walked or stumbled home!
Was very disappointed with the beer. It was nice but way to weak, very weak actually. Need vodka chasers just to give me a kick. Didn't try the Absinthe since i didnt want to go that mad.

Walked a lot, and virtually went all around the city. The place is very crowded with tourists so i tended to avoid the city centre and the Charles Bridge during the middle of the day
The food was excellent quality, cheap and delicious.

Didn't manage to really chat top any locals, which is always a shame, but they appeared to be friendly enough, bar some staff in restaurants.

Prague is a quality place to go - cheap, lots to see and do, clean, and not a rip off - so def not like Dublin then
