There is speculation that hand-reared Knut killed the carp just for fun.
Maybe being locked up in a zoo got a bit boring?
LOL. Next week they will be reporting domestic cats murder birds & mice for the fun of it.The Frankfurter Allgemeine news website reports that Knut "senselessly murdered the carp", fishing them out, playing with them and then leaving the remains.
The Frankfurter Allgemeine news is as bad as Morrissey - killing an animal (whether by a human or by another animal) is not murder.
I suppose "Bored bear goes fishing" doesn't have the required shock-value.
