Fog horns are banned. Megaphones depending on which ground.
What is the FAI's view on fog horns, megaphones etc...
Ive never seen a problem with them at games before until Waterford last Friday.
They were taken off the Limerick fans and thrown away.
Also if an away fan sets off a flare, smoke bomb etc, which club gets fined?
The home team or the away team?

bit off topic, but...
does anyone know why ST Pats were allowed leave up their tri-colour in last nights Setanta game at Brandywell? when we brought ours up, with just "Sligo Rovers FC" on it, we were asked to take it down. I know a few other clubs were asked to take theirs down when they put them up.
Look there are clearly two factions on the flare issue, the Jocks and the nerds. The nerds are in league with the crusty old dean to spoil the jocks' fun but we'll show 'em by having an almighty kegger and stealing the Dean's prized stuffed eagle or something.

If a flare is lit in Croke Park, the FAI get fined. If it happens in the league, the clubs get fined.Originally Posted by osarusan

Mass pyro display at a Ireland game?
RIP JOHNNY
i think so, all the ultras in ireland turn up for a qualifier game and let a few off, just to let the f.a.i that we're thinking of themAs for them being dangerous yes they are dangerous but only in the wrong hands, what incidents are there in ireland of anyone getting really seriously injured? (multi-coloured wigs not valid) they are dangerous in the wrong hands but they are great at adding atmoshpere in the parts of the stadiums that are usually full of atmosphere. they are not for everyone so if you dont like them surely you'll know where not to stand so that there is no chance of yourself getting harmed. there is a reason they are used in adverts aswell because they look good and show the passion of the league many who dont attend games dont see
I've had the misfortune of standing next to idiots with them in a packed stand a couple of times, and it's not an experience I relished. It certainly felt dangerous - though obviously you won't be happy until someone self-imolates...
Given that football tops are made of the sort of material that goes up like a bonfire, I personally have zero interest in being near tw@ts with flares when I'm wearing one...
