    great player

So he never recovered from the injury he got last season? That's a huge pity. He was playing his best ever football when he got injured.

I reckon he is fully recovered, but wasn't ready in time for Dolan's arrival and therefore never made it into Dolan's plans.

He was absolutely fantastic before his injury.

Remember when he came back from missing a full season to play against Gotenberg and surprised us all with a great performance.
From then on, mainly at centre back, Napier was King.
If Benno or Dan get injured Dolan will regret not talking Napier into staying...unless he's happy with Daly or Kevin Murray.

A terrible loss to the squad. What would City's season have been like last year with him in the team??? Better I'd guess.
