I think the result (3-1) flattered us a little.
Some good players on your squad, Kearney looks like a lively player.
The Cobh goal after 2 minutes was well worked.
reillys out for the rovers game next week, at the start of the season the list of suspensions said that he will miss the 6th game which is rovers next week. maybe its changed but that was the story then.

Whats that comin' over the hill
It's the Monster,

poor game. henderson certainly gets involved . he lost the plot when ye were 2-1 down with 15 mins to go and got a free kick just outside our box with a strong wind behind ye. one of your players tried to take a quick free and lost possession straight away. he will have an earache the whole way home.
in fairness until we scored the 3rd goal ye had a few chances to draw level but we scored 3 sloppy goals down to terrible defending.
ye looked bright enough up front and held your own in midfield.
if ye could beef up that goalie he will be a ringer for reina.
He was at fault for the 2nd goal due to his poor postitioning and he could easily take the blame for the first goal too simply because he didn't come out for a cross.
The 3rd goal was a pure definsive mistake, we had 2 chances to clear it and each time the Ramblers players made a mess of it.
There was about 20 people from Cobh there + Tom the Gom.
Again we never took our chances, Cummins missed an absolute sitter in the 2nd when it was 2-1, which should have got us back in the game.
Defending cost us. We were trying to walk the ball out all night and it wasn't working. We played it over the top once and the Sligo players hadn't a clue what to do.
Why is so cold in Sligo? I mean the sun was shining all day and when we stepped into the ground the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. It started to snow on the way home like.![]()

LESS OF THE BULL NOW!
Very worrying result being honest. We have to start taking chances from what i heard we had more chances, just not going to get away with it in the prem. Still though, lets stay positive, long way to go yet

Poor game, seen a few Cobh jackets around the place and from where I was standing I seen a group of maybe 10-12 standing in the Jinks Ave stand,I assume they were Cobh.Well done to ye who travelled, yer keeper is class
RIP JOHNNY
he can be, wasnt that good last night, he can be very indecisive sometimes, once he sorts it out well be doin ok,
wasnt the greatest of games, we scored with 5 mins it was a good goal from a throw-in murray made his way forward and got his head to it, first goal conceded bilko shouldnt have had a problem clearing from what i saw, but it went out for a corner, with the wind behind it there player didnt get much contact but got just enough for the wind to do the rest, second and third goals should also have been cleared easily, sligo deserved the three points as they took there chances, we dominted the second half and had the chances to get at least a point but for all the lads hard work the final ball was utterly useless, mucky had i can say without doubth his worst game in a rams jersey, john kearney and himslef had to be taken off, and it was a right decison by hendo, i think we got 3-4 bookins,
i think this game showed how much we lacked depth in the squad and we need to strengten in defence badly, carey, murray, gutrie and meade are top class, but if any of them are out especially carey the difference is seen, he bosses the defence brilliantly and thats why hes captain, but its noticeable when hes missing, coleman can slot in, and mucky when needs be but i would consider them midfielders more than defenders, we need some quality players, we have players, they play ther best but there still young and will learn a lot, and should be good in 2-3 years time, but that wont do us as were here now,
i dont think the midfiled is bad, we have options but one or two players can play better they played well aginst city but not so great last night im hopin they start to get the consistency needed soon, we have rovers then pats i would be happy with a point from those games, but after that we have ucd and bray, i would be expecting 6 points, if we cant beat those 2 we dont deserve to be here,
in sayin all that, as i said we played well in the second half and dominated it, we held the ball well and are able to pass it around, but its just that final ball is killing us, we'll have reilly back next week and mikey passed out this week (i think) so hopefully he will come back shooting,
once the lads take there oportunities well do well, at fulll strenght were a match for any team in the league, we just lack depth,

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.
thats very harsh, he wasnt like that last season, he wasnt like that last week. Having two new defenders in front of ya, under the age of 23 if obviously going to affect him. Ya swear hes a bad keeper lads, hes not and if anything is just going through a dip in confidence, stop being so negative.

But it seems to be every second game with him. Even last season he had his moments.
Fair enough he wasn't like that last week but he was like that the week before and then vs Galway he was good and vs Harps he was erratic too.
He's not consistent and seems to be a closet striker. He'll take any chance he can get to go outside the box like.
He needs to beef up and somehow get a bit taller then I have every confidence that he will become the best keeper in the league. Also need to work on his kicking. He had a few daisycutters up in Sligo that he just about got away with.
If he had his own designated goalkeeping coach then i'm sure the above is possible.

LESS OF THE BULL NOW!
I think as has been mentioned, having a small squad is going to hurt us. We were haunted last year with injuries where the first XI almost picked itself every week. You can't carry that luck forever and it's showing already. I said before the start of the season that confidence would play a big part in the team staying up so a good start was important. We didn't get it.
If we don't get that first win soon it's going to be a long season unfortunately IMO![]()
Don't like to paint a doom and gloom scenario but it needs to happen quickly now.
Top Breeders recommend drinkfeckarse....
That guy Seamus Coleman playing right-back is a class act. Had John Meade and Davin in his pocket all night.
