This is great news if true. Did RTE not negotiate exclusive rights to Live eLOI games though

Setanta Sports will provide eircom Premier Division fans with exclusive coverage of selected live matches on a brand new Sunday night slot.
With the new season just four weeks old, this announcement will surely be welcomed by fans of Irish domestic football as an international broadcaster has opted to extend its coverage of the league.
This new approach to covering the league is a big step forward with Setanta Sports committing to fifteen league matches along with the League Cup Final.

Well its there in black and white on Setanta's webpage so id say you can take it as 100%
Excellent - it doesn't clash with all the other games or the MNS programme on a Monday night. This was something that I actually emailed RTE about at one stage so glad to see it happening. It'll be interesting to see how is affects the crowds, but it's certainly better than the Monday night's that they have tried in the past.
Cool. It'll be interesting to see how the Sunday evening slot works in terms of attendance, it's one of the few that league clubs have not really tried yet.
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
will it just be the top 5 teams playin each other being shown though
most of our worst crowds over the last few years have been for sunday games, sunday imo is a crap day for football not a fan of this
I delighted cos it means the below games being moved to Sunday....so I can go
Sunday May 4th
St Patrick's Athletic v Cork City, Richmond Park (KO 7.00pm)
Sunday May 18th
Bohemians v Cork City, Dalymount Park (KO 7.00pm)
Sunday June 1st
Derry City v Cork City, Brandywell Stadium (KO 7.00pm)
Will moving these games hit the number of Cork fans that will be able to travel micls??
Yer hame team is yer ain team!
If true a bit of a joke in 6 games mentioned:
Bohs: 3 times
Cork: 3 times
Pat's: 3 times
That's a joke, now im not saying any old GUFC match should be show but maybe even a Connacht Derby, it's not the Premiership here where they HAVE to show one of the big 4, all clubs will generallly get the same figures on TV. Seems this year it's just been biased towards the top half clubs!!![]()
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D

Sunday at 7pm, feck that for away fans!
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I think it should improve it tbh.Especially Derry. Much easier to travel on the weekends for me anyway.
Also 2 of the games are bank holiday weekends.
But some people had already booked flights and accomodation for the Bohs game.
Also you'l have some who wont bother travelling now cos its on tele
I believe this will increase our away crowds for these games but not enough on its own to justify moving to Sunday. TV attendances will increase but these are very small for Setanta anyway. Don't know if this is a good idea although on balance probably better than Monday nights.
Would it not make sense to occasionally show teams from areas where Setanta is not freeview, as well as giving those teams at least one or two games on the box?
