Well, footie is the world game after all; Cork has no exclusive right to ****-ups or lack of information! We are quite good at it all the same...

Jeez, the heavy censorship on this board is really aggravating at times! My favourite referee is STILL Damien Han****. Oh, there's that censorship again: you'd want to be up at **** crow to beat it...

The Damien Han**** one I'll give you, but not the other two.

It's something I could fix but don't have the time for Gerry. It means rewriting code I didn't write myself and screwing around with regular expressions, which I was never brilliant at anyway. It'd take several days worth of coding, and several weeks of tweaking afterwards to get it right. And then when a new version of the program is released, it'll mean more work integrating the hacks with the new code, and then writing more code to automate the procedure for future releases.

At the moment I'm working on migrating the site to a new domain and making sure the new design Gaz came up with doesn't have any problems. I'm also working on a simple database-backed content submission yokey-bob, which I'll be introducing shortly afterwards. I reckon those are more important for the general good of the site than making sure that the odd word gets censored by mistake. When I get a chance, I'll do it, but I'm not really bothered about it to be honest, it's not world-threatening.

Lemme put it this way - would you prefer the forums the way they are, with intelligent discussion, and, it has to be said, pretty well-behaved subscribers; or see it devolve into the profanity-ridden rubbish and flame wars we're all too familiar with? I know which I'd prefer...

+++++ With you on that - it's an ace forum. But there's no need for all that ****amamie jargon you use that non-techies like me are NOT impressed with. BTW, I was only joking in my original post....

    Tóg go bog é, Vet!

Well I suppose I'd prefer jargon to a good ****-and-bull story...

I promise I'll stop after this one: it's just been one of THOSE days at the office....
