an embarassing performance all around.. Two terrible teams, limerick were poor and we were worse.. Worst display ive seen from a town team in a long long time.. it was pitiful
Wasn't at the match, i'll guess it was defending again that let us down?

If god wanted us to play football in the clouds he would have put grass up there!
i thought we wer poor against dundalk aswel but i didnt want to be too negative..but i really think we will hav a long season ahead finishing 5th or 6th
we are going up
Dont like been negative so soon in the season but there was no positives in this game.. Not sure what this 4-5-1 is all about, not one of our midfielders actually looked like they knew where they were suppose to be playing.. And for a team with a 5 man midfield we were over ran in there and never got a tackle or got to a 2nd ball.. On what ive seen so far this season id take a 5th or 6th place finish but we have alot of work to do.. Heres hopin for a big performance at home to kildare because we badly need it

Oh Christ!
Ah, Theres plenty more games left, time to correct the errors. The biggest problem is inexperience (on the pitch) IMO, a few more games under the belt and hopefully there'll be an improvement.
Its encouraging to be at least scoring goals (admittedly no good if the defence isnt sorted asap)
there is good tallent there and i've seen good play (albeit not as frequently as is required) in the last few games. I remain positive
Yeah it wasnt great stuff im afraid. Both teams were far from brilliant it has to be said. We started brightly then got sucker punched for the first goal. Ryan O'Donnell had a nightmare. From where i was standing the second Limerick goal was an own goal. They worked the angle then one of our defenders slid in to block the shot but ended up assisting it up over Shay Kellys outstretched arm. At times we had a large amount of possession but sadly no end product. It was very windy & wet in the first half too but both teams have to play in that. We didnt test their keeper enough in the second half.
As for Jackman park, well its grim i have to admit & the weather didnt help. Still there is a lot of room for development all round the pitch should the day come that they can get it done.
It was.

You've waited nearly 8 months just to write that. Have ya nothing better to be doing down in Limerick these days other than dodging the odd stray bullet or searching the foot.ie archives?
We were optimistic, it was early days and ye hadn't hit the form ye were going to hit. Ye didn't look particularly impressive that night, certainly nowhere near as good as ye were on the next visit. We in our naivete thought we could only get better as the season went along. It wasn't to be. No need for a war of words on either side now folks. It is nearly Christmas after all.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Well they are fyfes times better than your average banana.

What was the score?
