Exclamation The O's Score them in Bray!

    Just posting to annoy James...

    3-5-2/5-3-2:
    Devine,
    Carey,Deccie,Derek,O'Rourke,Ollie
    O'Grady,Bennet,Herrick
    Jamsie & O'Flynn(Skippy 85min)

    maybe 700-1000 tops attendance.

Shot from edge of the box, IMO Devine dived too late or unsighted, 1-0
Defender slips, O'Flynn slots home under pressure from defenders. 1-1
O'Grady scores 1-2 & is fairly happy about it!
    1-2 h/t City lead
Bray forward sent off 1/2 way thru 2nd half for follow thru on Devine, usual Scuffle with Derek leading as always
    Corner, Bray goal (O'Connor again)
Bennet disallowed headed goal for offside after Jamsie cross
City hold out for draw & Kelvin cleans out the shop (not kidding) in the bowlerama across the street before the City leaves

City defense shockingly bad, Bray not a hold lot better, Devine made a few excellent saves from long shots & volleys & overall 'not a bad game'. If City could have defended would have won easily. Carey & Bennet in particular excellent. Great to see O'Flynn get first league goal & we're only 3 LAST NOW with 1 precious point!!!!!!

B a s t a r d. you beat us home. of course you would seeing as youse live in the pale. No just in the door, followed the team home to make sure they made it back ok.

Have to agree with my esteemed predecessors comments.
Devine made some class saves. Carey looked good going forward, although the dissapearance of ollie cahill for the match ( he spent too much time drifting into the middle) and the man marking job Matt Britton was doing on ollie. gave carey ample space and opportunity to go forward.

Herrick tried and with ogrady did dominate midfield but all too often herricks passing left down the hard work he was doing in the middle

Overall, good game, good atmosphere aswell under the lights when bray were pressing for an equaliser and then subsequently a winner. Thought o'flynn had a good game also. Damien o Ruorke looked out of his depth, and was playing in his wrong position.

I'm sure the already overworked staff in supermacs in kildare were glad to hear kelvin cleaned out that bolwing place across from the ground before hand. the food there was so bad he probably couldnt stomach anything else afterr that crap.

McNulty we will never forgive you. NEVER

Yea Sorry scooty. forgot to get in touch with about a lift. and sure we had room in the car and all. ah well, next time maybe

further thoughts deccie caly is definately out of it. he is too slow and his reading of the game no longer makes up for his lack of pace.

Bennet had a great game and is developing into a fine player.

pictures to follow tomorrow when i get them developed

I like the look of that team, although I'm not sure about the 5-3-2/3-5-2 formation. There would be no need for three centre-halves if two of them were doing their jobs right. Deccie is well an truly past it, Derek is too slow, and obviously O'Rourke is a great player but needs time to find his feet in eL. I'd say give O'Rourke and Coughlan (prefer Napier but...) a chance to settle as a partnership. Carey and Hoggie seem to be the obvious full-backs.
Midfield is a problem. We are seriously lacking a right-sided player in form. O'Grady and Bennett should make the centre positions their own this term, and with Ollie on the left (if he's trying) we could develop into a good team there.
Up front, I like the look of O'Flynn and obviously Mulligan is class. With only Morley in reserve as a striker with any sort of quality, we definitely need an addition here. Just glad to see the donkey Hartigan and the Judas Caulfield drop out of the picture at the moment. Lets keep it that way.
Actually, looking at that team, only Deccie, Derek and Ollie remain of the Oul Brigade. If we can get rid of Dec and Derek by next season we could start working on becoming a professional-minded team at least.

Exclamation Average age of the team

I'm sure that team was more than 25 overall. We're not the OAP team no more!!!
