call me paranoid or a pain in the ass but, ive installed kazaalite and im not quite ready to run it yet. my firewall gives me all these connection alerts and im not sure which ones to allow

    i get stuff like

    outgoing connection alert!
    time: blah blah
    remote: 24.239.109.26, port 2736
details: 'Kazaa Lite' from your computer wants to send UDP datagram to 24.239.109.26, port 2736

    details about application: c:\program files\kazaa lite\kazaa.kpp

    outgoing connection alert!
    time: blah blah
    remote: d14-69-120-14.try.wideopenwest.com[69.14.14.120], port 2308 - UDP
details: 'Kazaa Lite' from your computer wants to send UDP datagram to d14-69-120-14.try.wideopenwest.com [69.14.14.120], port 2308

    details about application: c:\program files\kazaa lite\kazaa.kpp

the 'details about the application' dont change at all but the 'remote/details' change everytime

i get over 100 alerts is that ok?

    again, tanks for any help

Yur man, those connections are fine. Internet applications usually use TCP/IP for transit because it's more reliable, however things like FTP and Kazaa will often use UDP because it's faster. And the reason the host changes so often is that Kazaa can and usually does split downloads over many different hosts to get it as efficiently as possible. You should be able to tell your firewall to allow those connections by default. If you can't, get another fw.
