well in fairness i think a country the size of ireland should and always have been able to at least draw to a team from a country the size of cyprus.

I wasn't claiming it was the greatest achievement ever, just the match I enjoyed most.

Regardless, Apollon have (had? they dont seem to have their internationals anymore, looking at wiki) far greater resources than Cork City so for us to knock them out a couple of months before an Ireland team were embarressed by a Cyprus team containing a few of the same players was nothing to belittle.

Considering you have no option to hit the ball back to your opponent and that the ball will roughly go back and forth every second i can't see how tennis players can be less/more boring over others
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D

Well you see, in Cyprus they these things called football fans, and they actually go to see their domestic club sides play!

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Galway v Kilkenny again. What a game.
Also South Africa against Tonga in the Rugby world cup is a game I'll never forget!

Football - Limerick 1 Drogheda 0. Fran Hitchcock in goals after Brian McKenna was sent off and successfully facing 2 penalties.

Boxing - Julio Cesar Chavez stopping Meldrick Taylor after 2.58 of the 12th round when Chavez was behind on points.

Cricket - Second (or was it third) Ashes test in 2005, with Australia's no 10 and 11 making up about 90 runs to get within 2 runs of victory, before losing the last wicket. Unbelievable tension for hours.

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

Hurling: Ciaran Carey's heroics at home to Clare in the mid nineties. Was the most amazing atmosphere I've ever come accross. Anyone who was there will know what I mean..
Tennis: Any of the Agassi Sampras battles.
Golf: Waste of a good walk..
Boxing: Eric Morales Vs Marco Antonio Barerra and Arturo Gatti Vs Mickey Ward (Parts 1and2) Incredible battles...
Snooker:I'd plump for Hendry Vs White World Finals... Great games, and heartbreak for Jimmy..
Athletics: Only one Michael Johnson...96.. Super Man..
Darts: Part beating Taylor at his best a few years back, and Barney beating him also.
Rugby: France incredible semi final record over the unstoppable All Blacks.. Allez Les Bleus
Soccer: In term's of great game, would be Czech Holland Euro 04 and Argentina Serbia World Cup 06. In term's of excitement and being totally and utterly exhausted sick and amazed, Ireland Germany World Cup 02 and Liverpool Ac Milan 05.. Those games took years off me!!!
