COBH, who had six players booked, went in front on 51 minutes with a superb strike by skipper Stephen Yelverton, who raced down the left wing from half-way, cut inside and then beat John Healy from 30 yards.

Limerick got back on level terms 18 minutes later through Eoin Keating.

Ramsie, I think you mugged us last night. I am still struggling to understand how Limerick didn't win by three or four. The misses were unbelievable. You might think I am biased (and I am) but Cobh were blessed. Their goal was a cracker - a shot from 35 yards out - though John Healy was very sluggish getting across. I can think of only one chance Cobh had and that was in the first half. I am not sure if you even got into our box in the second half.

8 Cobh bookings. Including a lad that got booked as he was being brought on as a sub. He wasn't even on the pitch and he got booked. Your number 5 is a complete dirtbird. He should have walked.

It was a really strange night. Yelverton had a good game - Kabia really loked past it.

Ramblers looked better organised than the last time we played ye. Still very physical/dirty though. Yelverton is a class player, Bruton had a couple of moments too. Wasn't overly impressed by Coker...

Hill was in pretty good form for once (still got booked though)

The most surreal part of the whole game was when one of your subs got booked before even going onto the field of play (a young looking guy with a shaved head). Went like this

see my post in the referees thread bout that- it made the echo!!!!! honest to fcuk, that was taking the whole angry bitter little fcuker routine most linesmen follow a bit far!!!!!!

ramblers have a bad reputation with the refs in fairness the discipline was improving before the limerick game but thats the 3rd time ive heard that story about fenton(mini me) so it must be true the refs are just lookin for an excuse to book our players

hill said it at the AGM that refs disliked ramblers and when he joined it got worse he said that referees come down to cobh to book us,fentons yellow was a disgrace,sure remember ramblers limerick match in the cup before the league i think 3 players were sent off and cliffy and the limerick lad had their cards revoked by video evidence(first time ever in EL)****ing disgrace the refs are ****
