I concur with this call by the way.

Cold chisel, i prefer khe sanh but thats 70s I think?! Anyhow its a great tune whereever its from. Have ye ever seen the live video to it with the big gay fella dancing in the tight yellow top he reminds me of vince vaughan in dodgeball.

    No shenanigans Lionel.

i probably should have added flock of seaguls I ran to this. NOt that poxy bowling for soup version.

One thing that does annoy me about the majority of music from the 80s is when it breaks from a chorus to an interlude, and the music stops for about 5 seconds and the singer interjects with the main lyric of the song. What is this called and does it annoying anyone else? I think it sorta ruins the song, much in the same way it ruins Love Hurts by Nazareth when they are building up the song and then it just stops dead and goes slow again when it would be better had it continued to a crescendo.

for the list that he copied and pasted? worst example of copying and pasting to look knowledgeable since the great scandal of 2005. paul, paul, paul... never afraid to make a tit of yourself...

anyway, a list without Electric Dreams by the Human League isnt worth copying.

    ola, ola!

I have about 3 or 400 80's tunes I "acquired" over the years, thats the resulting text of a java program i wrote to read all files in a directory. It could well be on the internet too, if ppl have the same songs

Dunno if Midnight Oil are on your list but throw on 'Beds Are Burning'. And maybe some John Farnum - 'You're The Voice'.

I'd have some Talk Talk in there. Party's Over, Talk Talk, Today, It's My Life and the whole Colour of Spring Album.

Were Teardrop Explodes 79 or early 80s? Some of Julian Cope's solo stuff was great.

Pete Burns from Dead or Alive is a neighbour of mine in NW6 - I see him & his "husband" regularly. Bloody weird looking bloke!
