You were as well not come over - the riot police got right out of hand towards the end That said, I'm still glad we decided against the Town-end bank in the end
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Wexford fans - if your team had shown more belief you may have nicked a point in oriel last night, 2-0 up at ht and cruising we collapsed in the second half and put on a shocking display. was impressed the way the youth kept the ball on the deck and passed it around in the 2nd half.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

So I heard. Seemingly we had some chances but gave away 2 simple goals again. It's an improvement on last year though. I don't think we even scored against ye in 4 attempts! What sort of crowd was there? According to our website, we had about 15 at it. Damn Thursday night games!

Everyone has discovered the 'secret' to beating the Youths. Get a corner or a set piece
We just don't seem to be able to deal with them. At this stage we panic for every corner and end up letting them in or giving away penos.

I think the secret to beating the Youths is to have at least 8 able bodied men on the park, everything else seems to take care of itself after that

Jebus, I know that we have only won 1 game (in the cup) this year but the general consensus is that our game against L37 this year was by far and away the worst effort we've put in so far. Hopefully we'll show you a better display in the return fixture

In fairness I think going 7 games in a row without being able to beat Limerick gives the Youths a fair shout at being named the worst football team in the world

First goal corner by our left full then headed in at back post by our right full - exact same combo as last season

2nd - your central defender lost the ball insdie the box, side pass for a simple tap in

yes this goal was your first v us.

dfc.com reports approx 1,500 at the game

around 10 WY fans but some impressive flags

Thurs nights ? couldnt agree more -silly night for a game, sat would be my choice

But you will have to take great credit at how you played in 2nd half esp as we all thought it was just a case of 'how many more'

Seems to be a reccurring theme, was the very same in the waterford game. Our lack of experience can be glaring at times, i allways feel we need a few auld heads aboard to settle the ship.
But despite the losses were playing well and keep playing it the way the good lord intended it. Important game against Shels next week now, 3 points would sure be sweet.

I'll have to agree that L37 are our bogey side but your team isn't all that either. If it wasn't free admission for under 12s, nobody would go to your home games

Our U-12's are only free if the Adult they are with has a season ticket.

Other than that they are €5

I can happily confirm that Longford are every bit as awful as I suspected they'd be.

Nothing team full of nothing players playing rubbish football.

I'll be disgusted if we don't finish ahead of them.

I think I can safely say that we will be battling Wexford for the 2nd
last place in the division. (Thats assuming Yths are as bad as being
    made out)

Athlone Towns motto for the year ... Cant Defend, Wont Defend!
(orm equally Cant Score, Wont Score)

Of course Youths are as bad as everyone has been making out!!

Genuinely that's Athlone added to the list of teams I fully expect us to finish ahead of along with Monaghan, Fingal, Longford, Wexford and Kildare.

Can't wait to see Shels, Dundalk and Waterford.

Who was No 10 for yeh? Thought he was decent. Other than that you are muck. How Davy Byrne and Lavine still get a game at this level amazes me. Byrne waddles about the place doing nothing

Dave O'Dowd. Probably the most honest player you'll ever see.

Things seem to be goin as expected thus far, with Dundalk,Shels and Waterford leading the way and Sporting,Longford and Limerick looking like they will be tricky opponents for whoever they meet.

The team that has surprised me most is Wexford youths, they gave us a real scare in oriel and didnt stop until the final whistle.

Big win for us against the blues, tough game away to Limerick on Friday,no repeats of the 2nd half of last season hopefully!!!
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!

The youths move to within a point of mighty Limerick after a nice away victory over monaghon, luck was with us apparently but we were bound to get something other than a kick in the kacks off karma at some stage this season.
After seeing the Shels and Waterford game and reading reports from Dundalk the gap between us and the leaders is probably not that big as some people think.
We know have two winnable home games against Athlone & Longford the two coming Fridays, 4pts from them would really see ous season take off.
