Clash of jersies at Terryland Park

It happened again! Cork City arrived in Teryland with their 'away' black gear which was deemed to clash with the maroon home jersy. United changed to their second strip of white. Why the hell did this happen. This is not the first time that this has happened between Galway United and Cork City.

Why didn't City just wear their green and white strip?

Cobh's colours are similar to Galway United; which kit did City wear in Colman's Park a few weeks ago?

Also, GUFC goalkeper Gary "Dodger" Rogers was sent back to the changing room to change socks which delayed kick off by 1 or 2 minutes.

Don't know why we did not play in green. As long as we brought home & away kits will not be fined. Rules say it is up to the home team to change when there is a clash. Maybe Matthews trying some mind games?

It is a pity he didn't stay there. Really, it takes a special kind of keeper to dive over the ball. Rouse kept our only clean sheet this season in League Cup on Tuesday night, he HAS to start in Sligo.
As for Connolly (ref), he should be brought outside and shot with balls of his own sh*te. What a joke of a performance, both sides should feel aggrieved with his performance tonight, how is the league supposed to progress when you have jokers like this masquerading as competent officials.
That said, City never had to hit the heights to win, but it wasn't the lovely stuff they were playing last year

if cork did bring their home strip then they would have been made wear that, so the mustn't have had it with them!

I believe rule says home team changes when there is a clash. I don't think it matters if we brought home jersey or not but we have had enough cases at this stage for every LOI fan to know these rules inside out .

Tom Connolly was the ref who didn't give the clearest penalty I've ever seen a few weeks ago when Dessie Baker was hacked down by the Corkk keeper. He was also the ref who disallowed the Cobh goal straight from the kick off against Drogs.

Tom Connolly (as well as being a joke of a referee) is a Pats fan by the way so watch out for any dodgy decisions when he refs a Pats match.

The rule is the away team must bring two sets of gear. If both sets of gear are deemed to clash with the home teams gear then the home team must change to their second strip.

Suggestion on City forum that the home side wanted to wear their away kit as was launched that day.

There white strip didn't clash but we had the worst ever ref ever in the world tonight!

2 fowards for Derry won 2 free's the whole night????????????

Farren got halfed 3 times but the "ref" didn't see it????

This has to get sorted at some stage.
