That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

lissadel are through because mervue couldn't commit to it, is this correct?

fai wouldn't budge for them neither?

pretty much what i heard, if mervue played in this they couldnt play in the A league(shortened version), thankfully a lad off Lissadell played for pats fans yesterday as he had no game and was instrumental in our 10-2 win

on Galway Bay FM on Friday they said if Mervue played in FAI Cup players would lose Junior status and be unable to play in Connacht and local cup competitions. So Mervue gave a walk over.

the 3rd round is not until the 8th of june. cant understand the urgency in getting these games played strictly by the dates stated.

i was told over the weekend that they had been fixed to play their conaught junior cup 1/4 final on the same day as the 1st round FAI cup game, and so they chose the conaught one. maybe this isnt the real reason, but I find it hard to beleive they wouldnt be allowed play in the A league if they had played in the FAI cup, sure aren't salthill and tullamore taking part in both?

Do you think they should have been allowed in to the competition anyway considering there A league season is a far off?

sounds like its a decision off the cuff to allow the teams in on an invitation type basis.

our own club booked a weekend in september, we couldn't make amends for this date on the 20th and found our selves in a bad situation.
