How is it a "bit rich" exactly Dricky???
The only reason I posted about the banner is because I thought that it was quite ironic that the same Pats fans who claim to be so glad to be rid of Dolan were the ones who yet again showed how obsessed they are with him.

    its a club thing

thats the best comparison i can find lads seriously
Yes, maybe, but its a terrible comparison. LM never won us anything, isnt a nice guy, and our dislike of him was utterly reasonable.

But, anyway, now that he is gone, do you hear us continually bitching about him?

No, its the past, but as Pats fans i suppose thats something you will want to be getting used to.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.

its a great point up to the moment murphy quit. When he wuit his job, we quit our campaign. I for one do not like the idea that he is still at the club, but I can get over it. Pats fans should follow our lead and get on with their lives. If as you say, Dolan is sniping at ye in the press, ignore it and he'll probably stop. I'm not saying one thing or the other on this issue because I have no proof of it, but if ye really think dolans behaviour is so pathetic, why are you responding in kind?!

Whats a bit rich and why?! have i said a word about Liam Murphy since he quit if thats what you're getting at?! Every post I have ever made on this site has been capable of being backed up- on occasion I haven't revealed sources, because it would not have been fair to do so, but I have never posted any bullsh!t.

Thats exactly what they're doing. Many of the most successful managers in history have used the "siege-mentality" to their advantage- busby and ferguson are two great examples. I would think most people can see it for what it is, and it adds a bit of spice to the thing- I have no problem with it.

I agree totally, I think this siege mentality attitude is great and we can really work it to our advantage. The 'no one likes us we don't care' type thing has worked for many teams in the past.

i'd be interested to hear what he said, was it an attack on Pat's fans or comparing them to city (cork or derry), everything in it's context.

Interview in Dublin Daily recently when he claimed that he was hounded out by a certain board member (that certain board member was away on business for a month when he left)
to be fair, it takes longer than a month to hound someone out of a job, the trouble between dolan and the board seemed to be going on long before he left (feel free to correct me but that was my understanding).

His continuing insistance that he's the most succesful manager we've ever had (despite facts suggesting otherwise)
again feel free to correct me but didn't you win four of your eight league titles and a league cup while dolan was at the club. granted he was only manager for one of them but you can't deny the strides made and successes while he was at the helm (even as chief executive).

and some other things he's said to pats fans which can't be verified so I'm not going to mention them....
how many of those was while he was being abused? how many were knee jerk reactions to things said to him?

I won't say which player but do you think its fair for an ex-manager to call a player's wife and suggest that Cork is a nicer place for their kids to go to school.
fair enough, that's out of order and there are provisions in the way the league is run to prevent that type of approach. and i know many pats fans are still unhappy about the kevin doyle move (regardless of whether you think you need him or not).

Cork may be a better place to live (doubt it though)
it is and at least we're not talking about the size of flags.

i think dolan does a lot of what he does to develop this siege mentality, a them and us attitude and i think you can see the effect that it has had already on many of the posters on the forum. i hope he'll be better for city than he was for pats (in the end) and i think he will because i doubt lennox will put up with the carte blanche dolan seemed to get at pats.
