Saw some strange graffiti in a jacks the other day...

Jimi Hendrix is the nice on the guitar.

Lovely. Im listening to Portishead's first two albums in anticipation of Third. Still sounds excellent after all this time. Along with Prodigy's first album 'Experience' which I never really got into first time around.

wow, 2 albums mentioned that i havent listened to in 10 years and would be too scared to listen to repetitively again. Id be afraid id get addicted to them again...

Mr.Bungle (Mike Patton's (lead singer of FNM) twisted side project)
Pantera - A Vulgar Display of Power (glam rock band turned thrash metal)

cant stop playing all three KoL albums, Stone Roses, Muse (Black Holes), Radiohead (In Rainbows).

This month I'm listening to I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, a two year old album by Bright Eyes.
    the highlights being

    Lua

    At the Bottom of Everything
    and

    We Are Nowhere

Worth a look, especially if you're a fan of my man of the moment, Sufjan
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"

    G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!

The Crane Wife by the Decemberists is taking up much of my listening time this week, and very enjoyable it is too...

Also revisiting Takk by Sigur Ros which is definitely a grower...
"Well I think they'll be a little disappointed with that" - Matt Holland on TV3 after 5-2 drubbing by Cyprus

Still listening rather obsessively to Hot Chip - Made In The Dark 'cos it's so good.

Had a handful of new albums ready to go, but can't get past the Utah Saints - Something Good '08 CD Single (which comes with 5 remixes so I'm counting it as a mini-LP), which I'm absolutely caning at the moment as it's just so good. Every one of the different versions a gem, but the High Contrast drum 'n' bass remix is an absolute joy!

And so, if I can get past that, the now pre-emptive list for this week continues:
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!
Tom Middleton Presents Crazy Covers 2
The Trip 2 Navigated by Tom Middleton
    and
Gary Numan / Tubeway Army - Premier Hits
(Actually, am amazed I've never had even a greatest hits of what were one of my favourite childhood bands. Not sure I'd be bothered to delve any deeper now, mind!)
    more bass

Thanks be to god someone else likes that song. I heard the original for the first time, about 2 days before the new version was released. Love them both, but the new video makes me laff so much.

It was the freshest move I've ever seen... like he was floating on air

Ah yeah, loved that tune, and that album, since it came out in 1992 or thereabouts, just brilliant. New video is good too.

    Yaay another stalwart returns!

Got a few new ones this week, so giving good long listens to:

Bloc Party - Intimacy (newest listen, but liking this a lot so far)
CSS - Donkey (Brilliant stuff, best album of the last few months certainly)
Kaiser Chiefs - Off With Their Heads (surprisingly not too bad for a 3rd-album-when-the-idea-is-well-beat situation)
    more bass

im really disliking the Kaiser Chiefs new one. A few decent songs but at least Mark Ronson producing it, didnt produce any horns or trumpets. Bloody Lily Allen appearing on it though has killed it for me.
