I'd say about 1,000. Happy Dundalk fans making up the vast majority of that.. That's a complete guess though, I'm sure Kildare fans would have a better idea.

    600-700 I thought.

New stands hold 500? 450 there. 150 tops in the old stand (holds 250?). Another 100 standing around. The stands are small, but were packed, so it looked more at a first glance.

A friend was at the match (travelled down from dublin) an guessed the crowd at around 600, with around 500 of that from dundalk.

If they hold 680, I'll add 150 to my guesstimate, which would make it 750-850.

Good crowd from Galway; plenty of UCD supporters too (mainly freebies, probably).
No way were there 800 plus at the Bowl. Galway had roughly 500 defo not 300 from UCDD

    Agreed.

Fair play to UCD who had a schooboy games at half time plus a game for a few hairy graduates as well. The stewards were strict but very friendly and professional. UCD played as if their lives depended on it and could have sneaked a late equaliser which would have kept Harps in the Premier and releagated us.

Nope, crowd was definitely over 800. Will get the official figure on Monday, but 800+ was what I was told in the Montrose. Definitely 300 UCD fans too, if you include the Mount Merrion teams, the hairy graduates (+ vaguely decent keeper).

Was the keeper the one with 80's Duran Duran haircut who was selling match programmes outside....with a D4 twang? Is that you Stu? Jayzus, I should've said 'howya'. I also had a brief chat with the the long haired bloke selling fanzines outside.

Also, it was great to link up with Limerick fan gspain at the game. One of his kids was wearing a Galway United scarf!

Yeah about 800 seems to be the consensus. That'll bring Kildare's average up a bit.

Yeah I noticed the keeper was following in Matt Gregg's footsteps and scored a goal!

I was worried that Pete Mahon was going to bring on Harpo in the second half - he looked to have a few tidy touches in the game too!
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

I never question your sources Y4E but I noticed there were a good few U12s on a season end jolly (supervised on pre-arranged buses etc BTW). Given that the Youths let these in free, were they counted???

    D4 twang?!

The long haired fella was Bald Student, oxymoronically.

No way gael, we definitely had bigger attendances last year no question, if anything I'd say this years figures were dubious.

On a positive note though, attendances picked up towards the end of the season.
