i was in the pub beside The Showgrounds last week just before the Rovers v shams match, spurs were playing liverpool and after the game the shams fans in the pub were signing spurs songs etc. they were really into it, i was surprised and a little bit disappointed at their passion for another team. i left a couple of minutes before kick off, they were still in the pub watchin arry rednapp talkin
2,085 Is this our first official crowd of the season ? its the first ending with an odd number ? I`d agree with in and around 2,000 as both sides looked well packed, the shed even more than last week and a lot more behind the town goal, but the 85 is still a bit baffling![]()
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
I understand averages. You don't understand English....
Our average crowd across the season is given as 10% higher than Cork's average across the season. We're talking averages. End of story.
Within that we have average-boosting games, but so do Cork. We're talkng averages here - so individual spikes are merely footnotes.
Not anywhere near as much as Cork though. As indicated by the fact that seven of Cork's attendances beat your third best crowd. For an across-the-season calculation, you want to factor in standard deviation, when Cork beat youz hands down. So to say Cork have been getting "10% less than Derry all season" is patently untrue. But given you think 4=8, I won't expect you to understand maths that complicated.
About 700 at Pat's v UCD tonight.

what was the attendance in Waterford last night?
And Miles To Go Before We Sleep
Stann might have the official attendance but I'd say somewhere between 900and 1000 at the RSC with a few hundred of them Shels fans who went home happy.
fair play to finn harps fans.
there was probably 250-300 of them in terryland lastnight![]()

Attendance was slightly over 1000, that's from the official figure source, but he didn't have the exact figure to hand when I was talking to him. Will try to find out later.
more bass
Very poor crowd at the Cross, about 60/70 of which were Rovers. Shocking weather.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Stu - you're excelling even your own good self at nonesense here...
Averages exist to give a figure over time that deliberately evens-out peaks and troughs.
Within that, City have a better average attendance than Cork. We also, as you've alluded to, have had the top two best attended games in the entire league this year. Most normal people would be happy to accept that those stats suggest that we have the biggest support in the league.
You may think having seven games higher than our third best attendance (WTF ?!?) is an achievement worthy of mention, but I doubt many others care. Hows' about the stat that really matters - we had two games with a higher attendance than every other club in the league...![]()
can you post an update stu
i'd say about 1100 at the bray drogheda match on friday, could be corrected on that now, and what was up with the 20 or so drogs kids trying to get at the bray fans, it was funny watching it.
