Foot pedals

sorry about this but ive googled and the understanding makes no sense, so I was wondering has anyone ever used them or what are they?!

i dont understand how your foot can control the computer in any other way, other than possibly being the same as a mouse click?! as in you touch your foot on the thing and then it acts as a click. Btw reason I am asking here is cos I keep getting adds for them on foot.ie ( along with adds for gay dating sites )

i did noby it still doesnt make any sense how it actually works, and there is no wiki page for them.

Noby, then explain, its a foot pedal, singular, you have two feet, how can you assign it to more than 2 keys/macros whatever?! Im sure there is a good explanation, but based on that I cannot see what it does or how it works.

so you can only do 3 x 3 combinations?!
