Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

Napier always gave his best and never hid even when things were going wrong for him or the team. My best memories of him were in the Mountfield horror season 2000/2001 when he was the only one giving 100% in every game. He even played well in the 4 nil defeat to Pats at home that season.

Best of luck in the future Stephen. We'll never forget you efforts for City or your goal celebrations

Napier has had his bad games for city & dodgy spells but he always gave 100%.

remember that game few years back when he scored two in the one match like.. priceless look on his face after the goals.. remember thinking holy fcuk napiers on a hat-trick... think he might have scored in another match around then also.. hit a rich vein of scoring form

some of the statto's might put more facts on that (gerry or joe more then likely )

def always gave 100% EVERY time
    loved the unique napier run

course there was the 'oh no napiers been skinned or megged again' phase ..(mostly against rutherford when he was with $hels.. from memory) but also good times.. like the swiss stadium announcer in Lausanne..
when announing the city lineup... Stefffan Nappeeaye

    fair play steve

Id imagine he is one of the very few City players to have got the player of the season award (man was he shocked when that was announced, or so pretended anyway!) after playing just half a season. A collossus at centre half. His reading of the game, his awareness, his distribution, it amazes me how he didnt succeed abroad. I hope City offer him a coaching role as every player, esp defenders could do alot worse than learn from Naps.

    City Legend!

    All the best feen.
