As a Shels supporter, I must say I cannot wait for kick off. I believe we have a realistic chance of going up and, in our current predicament, getting promoted would be as worthy of celebration as anything we have ever achieved. After such a long time without live football, I would have to say that I cannot understand a supporter of any club saying they are not excited. If that ever happens to me, I will just give it up.

Friday: last day of term in Trinity. First game of the season.
The only question now is whether to wear a TCD hoodie as well as a Derry City scarf to the game

Yeah it's kind scarin' me too! I just have a feeling that we will come good this season. I am pleasantly surprised by pre-season results and signings. If nothing else, at least we have our Friday nights in Tolka (for a season anyhow!). Reckon we'll get a reasonably good crowd in tomorrow and hopefully a competitive game.
