    Question Dodgy emails

In the last week iv been informed that iv won 2 million pounds in an online promo with the british lotto. (they want my name and address)

Been contacted by Marriam Abacha (ex first lady of the federal Republic of Nigeria no less) concerning a fortune left by her late husband General Sanni Abacha, and wanting to know if I can help her withdraw it from the family account in Switzerland. The small matter of being under house arrest means its up to Monkfish to save the day! I guess if I responded she'll be then looking for my bank acc details.

And also had an email from Dr Zongo Mila of the Foreign Remittance Dept, Bank of Africa in Burkinafaso with a simular fairytale.

Now we all know these are a load of horse$hit and I dont know how they got my email address but whats the plan of acton concerning these? do I just delete them and forget about it or should they be reported?

Everyone who responds with advice will be given E100 free credit for their phone as a gift for their time, just PM me your phone no and bank acc details.

    Details sent on!

You could/should report the sender to your ISP, or you could also engage in a spot of spambaiting to get your own back.

Best thing might just be to not open them at all as that alerts the spammer that the e-mail found someone meaning they'll likely send more and more on.

I'm no expert on the area though as I never get spam thank God!

The fact that you posted your address on this forum, in the Limerick section, probably didn't help.

Plan of action - you could report it to this group - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economi...mes_Commission

I got an e-mail saying that if I had a "9 inch one-eyed monster" the ladies would go wild for me.

Five grand it cost, and so far he just lays about watching tv.
