    Eduardo

Just after tuning into sky sports and they were treating Eduardo for what looked like a broken leg, I missed the incident but the commentators said the images were so horrific that they would not be showing a replay.Just wondering if anyone saw what happened

Looks like he took Eduardo's ankle off.

Poor divil - hope he makes a speedy recovery.

As perverse as it might sound, you don't see the actual injury but the reactions of the players and the angle Taylor dived in at doesn't make it look good.

I think the players reaction and the length of time it took to take him off the pitch suggests that his ankle is well-broken and I'd say bone was sticking out somewhere down there. It also looks like Eduardo fainted when he looked down at his ankle.

I turned over too late to see the tackle, but the Sky commentators said it didn't look like a malicious tackle, and they felt Taylor was a little unlucky to be red-carded.

Terrible injury it seems and that photo is hard to look at. However I think it was a harsh decision to send him off. This is confirmed to in the fact that Taylor was not looking at the players ankle, an unfortunate injury from a clumsy tackle

Its a definite red, but he just got done by Eduardo's quick feet. Not like he set out to hurt him or anything

How is it a defnite red if he did not set out to hurt him and is done by quick feet and it is not a goal scoring chance and it is not a violent tackle etc. I would have thought a yellow card was the punishment for a late tackle.

It as late and it was high.

Whether him meant it or not is irrelevant, it was dangerous and he could have, and did, cause serious injury.

It was a reckless challenge thought without intent and deserved the red imo

It was not high as it caught his ankle that is what did the damage.

Still photos are misleading esp as they are 2D. As you can see in the other pictures he catches him on the ankle, whereas in that pic it looks like he is going to catch him much higher. Therefore that picture has to be misleading, thats why I said that pic looks pretty bad for Taylor however he did not catch Eduardo on the knee or the higher party of shin.
