    The Bohs game

Just got back from Dublin and, while I would have taken a draw beforehand, I see tonights as being two points dropped.
We played very well and Bohs were quite poor. Colin T had a great game in midfield and O'Grady had one of his best games in a while. Dan Murray was also excellent.
Two very good goals, Crowe's was a lob over the head of Devine while Flynny's was a fantastic finish after a good set up by George.
The Ref, Jim O'Neill, was a joke and showed how incompetant he is yet again. We should have had a clear cut penalty, the linesman was going to give it but O'Neill ignored him. I thought Dolan was going to kill him at half time.
George had two great oppurtunities to win it at the end but hit them both just wide.
There was a fair few City fans there, especially considering it was a Monday night and Dolan came into the stand after the game to thank everyone for travelling.
The overall attendance was shocking, I'd estimate about 2000 which for the Champions and so called 'Big club' is disgraceful.
It was a pity we didn't win it in the end but it was an encouraging performance by City.
    Champions!

    Re: The Bohs game

Bohs killed us at the start of the second half. After going behind so early City coped well without Greg and fought their way back into it. Crowe was poor throughout cept for the goal.
Jof did what he usually does for the goal. Good team goal tho.
Is true what Colm said - O'Grady played well. Back four were solid.
O'Neill is always a joke in fairness. I don't know which is worse - O'Neill or a Dublin ref.
Would have to say it was two points lost as well tho.

    Unhappy O'Neill Cheat

I'd give it 2500 crowd but as been said very poor for the 'Big Club'

Ton of chances for both sides with Crowe failing to hit the target with some glorious efforts in particular one he blazed across the city goal in the 2nd half from no more than 10 yards when clean through.

I cannot understand what the ref thought he was doing. O'Flynn goes down in keeper/defender sandwich (too far away to tell if penalty from city end), ref is barely insde the Bohs half, linesman waves his flag but ref waves him away. I can't see how the ref thought he had a better view than a linesman who was directly alongside the play. btw the keeper did not collect the ball as looked like O'Flynn had tapped it around him.

Good to see Hoggie back but he caught out badly by long ball that allowed Crowe to lob Devine. Good comeback by city & trademark O'Flynn goal across the keeper into far corner of the net from Georges pass.

Bohs dominated parts of the 2nd half but for once i didn't feel they'd score such was the poor finishing. A lot more long balls from defense & their keeper than previously also.

Geoge missed badly from insdie the box when Doyle, O'Flynn & George had a 3 on 2. George made a good opportunity i thought in the last few mins when cut inside the defender running through from the half way line but finished poorly again - O'Flynn would not have missed both efforts.

Billy was IMO poor again, hoofing the ball too much & taking too long to clear under pressure. Conor had maybe his best game in a year for city & encouraging signs. Very starnge that Hedderman was replaced by Behan who also replaced by Buckley.

Was a bit disappointing to see Dolan & some city players to be so delighted with a point as Bohs were there for the taking.
