    New Season

Facinating to read what the big boys are saying about us for the new season. They seen to think that the likes of Ramblers and Harps are going to be easy pickings! But there forgeting a few things ...

Ramblers & Harps scored 118 goals last season, with just 37 against.
Both teams played 72 games in total between them and lost only 9(Rams 3, Harps 6).
Both teams had a goal ave of 40 & 41 plus.

Both sides played some excellant football and beat Premier Divison teams during the season. So I wouldn't be so sure about easing pickings, or sinking without a trace, not just yet. Your in for some fright lads What do you think.....

I really hope ye do(apart from us )

But, simply basing it on ye're current squad I just think ye're lacking a bit.

I saw ye quite a few times last seaosn, and while being a very good team by first division standards I thought a good few of ye're lads looked a bit inexperienced at times.

I think a few experienced heads would make all the difference. If you look at the team you'll be fighting with- I'd say ye, Harps, Galway, UCD and Bray.

Harps-Have added experience but again I expect them to go down
Galway-Survived comfortably enough in the end last season and have added some good players. Should improve
UCD- Look the weakest of last years premier but have experience as a club and very good manager when it comes to fighting relegation battles and winning...I think they'l go down this year though
Bray-Have added quality. If they gel they could surprise a few teams.

It's hard for me to see ye finishing above 3 of those 4.

Saying that it would be fantastic if ye did. Ye have a young hungry team, and I hope it's enough

i said it before lads it is us against the league, the lads should be so hungry to go and prove all the doubters wrong.

what matters most though is that when clubs come to st colmans they must hate playing they must find it intimidating and the lads must play in their faces, lets make it a fortress and we will be ok, win alot of home games and we will be ok

How much is a Rams season ticket and what does it entitle you to?
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

not finalised yet but think it is 250 euro, allows you entrance to all fai games involving rams cant remember if that includes cup and entitles you to vote at agm. i am open to correction on this though

Hmmmm, that's steep compared to City.
I'd almost have gone for it as I expect to get to 10 or 12 games at least.
e12 in is very good though unless it's changing.

I would have thought the price to get in to games would be €15 for the premier division. If it stays at €12 then the season ticket is overpriced. The idea of a season ticket is to give a discount to people who pay upfront for the season. Cork City season ticket is €195 for the year. Oaps and Juvenilles are €100 and if you want to reserve a seat it is an extra €50.

What we need to do is reduce the season ticket price and get more people to buy it.

It would be better to have 200 tickets at €200=40000 then 100 at €250=25000.

I know everyone will say you get a vote at the AGM and support the club etc etc but we really need to think outside the box and get more people through the turnstile.

You could also look at having a 10 game ticket with no voting rights for say €100 which you could promote at the city fans like Pablo!!

My one was anyway. Plus you get 2 (twice I think, but could be wrong) free tickets to a home game of your choice to give away.

Looks like Boylesports are tipping us for relegation. 200/1 to win the league and Harps are 80/1........what a joke!
