i herd from 3 people last night that hendo is ready to walk away.
apparently the club cant suppy him wit training gear ,training facilities, money for new players . no sponser lined up so dat cuts any future money he had been promised.it was an up hill battle already wit out dis s##t aswell.tbh im sick and tired of us being made a laughing stock .da man can only do so much ,the club must get off their holes and help him.
fcuking disgrace.i have to say i wouldnt blame him if he went

Listen, most clubs have trouble getting funds together. You dont know whats being lined up in the back ground, obviously the club are looking for a sponsor and that would be made easier with the exposure clubs will get this year with the tv coverage. I'd give a good guess that its all in hand.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

from what your saying it seems like the basics expected for the team are not being provided, with an AGM around the corner it wont reflect too well on the committee if hendo walks, they have to realise that we are up against full time operations this season and we are being run like an AUL club

Not being disrespective OutsideIn but it's all hearsay and speculative third party information. Plain and simple RUMOUR. That man gives 200% to the Club and has alot to deal with. As AFace said, 'it's probably all in hand'. Lets not make a mountain out of it. Stephen Henderson is idolised in Cobh and does, and has done a superb job. I agree that the man must have to tools to work with but we are only a small club and certain individuals (Business Men) go out of their way to ensure he has what he needs. We'll all be laughing at this in six months time and I wouldn't read too much into what you were told regardless of your source. It's three weeks to the season's start and we should all be behind the club instead of rattling things, and I include myself in that too.

I agree with Luka, things mightn't be going swimmingly but these are all only rumours again.
Lets wait for the AGM next week and get facts!

fairly strong rumour though, heard it myself from a couple of people. Things not going swimmingly seems to be a bit of an understatement

I really thnk we need to stop all the rumour and the washing of our dirty laundry in public and start keeping things in house. Yes..........this is a discussion forum open to all to say what they feel, however, of late it's getting a bit out of hand. Hey...I'll take the blame for some of it and think I need to tone it down a little as well, so can we all agree that from now until at least we hear the facts at the AGM, that we stop making ourselves the laughing stock of the EL groups on here and concentrate on what's important to all of us.........that being the Club, the Team and our Premiership survival this year and the following decades thereafter. Mellow mood today.

I agree with Luka here, in fact there is a rule against it on foot.ie as well. Its just rumour lads, and i'd also question the motive of the three guys as well. Is their word now to be taken as gospel?

Lads, even if something like that was said by Hendo (which i actually doubt very much i have to say, walking as soon as he gets to the premier, no chance i'd say) isn't a good thing if it lights the fire under a few people in effort to get what's needed.

Wait for the AGM lads, it'll all probably be sorted by then anyway.

Well it looked as if they had plenty of new gear yesterday in Waterford. He looked fairly happy aswell to be manager of Ramblers.

Bottom line here lads is that I've just spoke to our Chairman and I'm quoting:

'That's the first I've heard of this. Stephen has not approached me recently for anything other than match balls and he was supplied. Other than that, all you are hearing is nothing more than rumour and I ask you all to be patient until the AGM. You are all loyal supporters and we, as a club appreciate your support and loyalty'

    Barry

I hope this puts an end to it now.

    Angry

roumour mill is just going so fast its gone beyond a joke

noone really helping the club spreading this tripe, the reason a few people said it is because they heard it from someone who heard it for someone else,

cant be posting every little thing you hear on the forum, how would a player feel if he heard that the manager is leaving,

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Outside ... Maybe you should take things you hear with a pinch of salt. Again, what is the motive for those rumours is what you need to be asking yourself.

Take a photo or a video, ask someone for a quote, or post a scan or a link to a news article. Alternatively, keep your mouth shut on Foot.ie, or you'll be out on your ear.
The infractions don't appear to be specified sfor this type o thing but please proceed with whatever course of justice you decide on because I think that rumour being posted is downright out of order. Just my 2cents.

The other thing is that if, and I'm not making it personal ans I never want to, is that OutsideIn's comments more or less always slate the club.

i was outspoken previosly on hendo when i believe he wasnt right for the club, but i was proven wrong last season what he and martin have done is nothing short of a miracle, he deserves the greatest credit for his work and deserves every bit of support he requires from the club . i know rams of old from times gone by and it is always like pulling teeth to get something. they should be bending over backwards to keep him happy as this management team is prob the best we will ever get and if he was to leave us we would struggle to find a suitable replacement, and if he left he would be well capable of taking on a top premier team no probs

lads i know this si a fans forum but i cant help thinking as i have said previously if someone from club was willing to post here these rumours could be answered immediately

all i can say is i hope it isnt true, if it is god help us this year

ps it may not be fair to tear outside in apart as as i said this is a fans forum and when we all hear things we all feel it is our duty to let people know, if he really didnt believe it he wouldnt post it (i hope) so give him a chance

I not going to take any action on this one, as i think to date its been proven as false. I think it would be a bit harsh considering the concern that Outside had when making the post initially.

I dont think club officials can post on message boards, i think its policy. And its a good one in cases like this where things could spiral out of control.

Outside, the rumour at this point is unsubstantiated and has nothing in support to deem it in anyway credible, so i am going to delete your responses and lock the thread as it serves no more purpose.

And lads, i think Outside was just relaying what he heard and was genuinely concerned about the issue. I dont want anyone back him into a corner as a result of this. He only posted what he thought was true at the time, much like the majority of us at one point or another. I know i definitely have on several occasions.
