I find him annoying but he has his fans. Better on the radio than on the TV, IMHO.

Lost a lot of respect for him at the tail end of the Blizzard of Od. You just knew that he if he wasn't on The Panel himself he'd have stuck the boot into it.

But can he play ball?

I always enjoyed the afternoon show he did with Edith Bowman on BBC Radio 1, and he's much better than John Barnes hosting the UEFA Cup games on Channel 5.

So to sum up, he's better than John Barnes.
