A well supported league would in turn lead to stronger domestic clubs. Stronger domestic clubs may be able to hold on to / develop talent. This would have a knock on effect on the amount of players available to the national team. So as an IRELAND FAN I think people should support the domestic game as much as they can. And not knock it continuously.
. And to jbyrne, I don't think I said Jason Byrne or George O'Callaghan, or any EL player, was good enough for the Irish team, did I ? (in fact I've posted the exact opposite in a discussion on the EL forum) Finally, to Neil, who said I was on the wrong forum - I try not to post too much on the Ireland section here (damn, just when I thought I was out, they drag me back in
) I suppose I do have a passing interest, but I just don't consider myself a supporter of the Irish team anymore.
