I hate having a go about the website but it needs some serious updating. No pics of new players, surely it's not hard to get one, they train every couple of days. Even Paul Cook's pic is of him with another club and not Rovers. No profile on Gerry Carr, just Cook and Mickey Robinson. Hutch is still down as u-21 manager. Oliver Davey down as Event Controller, with John Murtagh as safety officer[both have since stepped down]. 2008 fixture list isn't up under the 'fixtures' heading. Jason McCartney and Sean Kelly are listed as members of the first team squad under the 'youth academy' section. McCarrick's garage is listed as the provider of the manager's car yet it was Peter Mooney Motors that gave Paul Cook a car recently, I'm sure the Peugeot garage is happy as still being listed though(bit of free publicity for him). I'm sure there's probably more if I looked hard enough.
I know everyone who runs the site probably have other jobs etc. but theirs 7 names listed as being part of the website. Surely between them all, things could be kept (relatively) up to date.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Predicted that response. My name isn't on that list, other people have obviously wanted to do it. Between seven people I think there is enough to do a sufficient job, would you not think so?
EDIT: As I've said, I don't like having a go at who runs the site as they probably have other jobs, commitments etc. but we are supposed to be a professional club after all.

When people complain about the MC, does that mean they themselves should join it too? A suggestion of 'why don't you do it' isn't helping things, you may say neither is complaining but I'm pointing out the mistakes that can be fixed easily enough by those in charge at the moment.

Its a shocker, old pictures of players who are not with us anymore
RIP JOHNNY
matty gorden is still on it danny ventres photo still is not up
Bring back Sean Connor - with his PR experience he'd be able to keep it up to date.
Some of the problems sorted now, the rest will be done soon.Things change very quickly at the club and little things sometimes slip by sligoman. There is seven but i think its only 3-4 who update it. The picture situation....it's not a big deal. and it will be dealt with when the squad is finalized I would say.
Shag the website, more things concerning at the minute like the taxman breathing down the clubs neck.
ah sure we'll be grand
rovers website isnt working for me now.
Gallery is back up,no 2008 pics yet but M.Melly was at the game tonight
RIP JOHNNY
"Even if the sun ceases to rise, Even if the sea ceases to flow, Even if the wind stops to blow, The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning, glinting star in the sky."
Just checking the website for a match report for the Drogheda game and it's very disappointing to note that there's not much change there since the last time I visited.
I was on the Drogheda site yesterday and not only was there a match report but photos as well. I know there has been long debates here on the state of our playing surface but judgeing by the state of the website we are in the doldrums there also. The home page photo of Mickey McNamara lifting the First Division trophy is a tad out of date, you know he has lifted the Nester Cup since that for the GAA.
Paul Doolin in an interview on their website comments on the state of the pitch and compares it to pitches he played on when he first started playing over twenty years ago. Are we going to become known as the club time forgot?
