Good film, wouldn't call it that funny though. Soundtrack is great.

saw it last week at a Today FM Breakfast screening. Ian Dempsey introduced it and gave out some hamburger phones (if you've seen the film you know why!)
Thought it was excellent, and I can see why it was nominated for so many awards, although I think it may lose out on most of them.

A movie about teenage pregnancy must hit home with Cobh as a town in general I'd imagine

    GREAT SOUNDTRACK

Those songs were the biggest load of garbage ive ever heard. They all had terrible lyrics. Look like they were thrown together in a day. Where has the taste in music gone?!

EDIT: Liked the film though but i could'nt help but notice the crap songs during it!!

For anyone who has'nt seen it here's one of them, first i found on youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=TN6AhU10XmY

I don't see this as good music

Just checked the track listings, ill be fair and say the main ones the stuck in my head were all from a women who sounded the same(link for youtube is her). She had 5 songs alone. Those anyway were pure muck

Havn't seen the film yet, but thanks for linking the song with the written lyrics.

If you were to put a Scouse accent singing those lyrics it would sound very much like half man half biscuit.

It's catchy but as for that other one(Kimya Dawson), She's complete garbadge, she had near half the songs in the film so find it odd for people to compliment the soundtrack(very unusual to hear that happening)

*Kimya Dawson how did you get a contract?*

EDIT: Just googled her and this came up >>>http://www.yaleherald.com/article.php?Article=1573

I enjoyed the film but at the end remember telling my girlfriend, 'If I hear another quirky indie song I may well massacre a small to medium sized village.'

It's a good film with an appropriate soundtrack.
They kept the film simple and uncluttered with subplots.
The young guy reminded me a bit of Gregory (Gregory's Girl).
Anyway it was well acted and scripted.

I saw it last night and I was a bit disappointed. With the all the ranting and raving it's recieved I wasn't sure what to expect but I didn't find it that funny. I'm actually struggling right now to remember a bit I laughed at.

It has some good points: original story, good lead actress and a nice performance at the end.

I just found a lot of it predictable (the contrast between Juno and Vanessa, the anti-abortion bit, the step-mother) and thus making it very hard to like.

What is all the fuss about this rubbish? I just saw it and it was absolutely terrible. The storyline was awful andthere wasn't 1 funny incident at all.

I was very disappointed considering what all you lads were saying about it too.

    Soundtrack was good though

Saw in last night, have to say I thought it was okay, just okay though. Michael Cera and Jennifer Garner pretty much made the movie for me. Overall i thought the first half of the movie was disappointing, but it sprang into life in the final quarter. As for the music, well thats the kind of stuff I was listening to back in my late teens-early twenties so I quite liked it, but each to their own I guess

Watched it last night i liked it, but i thought id like it a lot more. Think the girl in it was very good she has come a long way since Trailer park boys.

music was ok i liked some songs got bored by them near the end its no "little miss sunshine" now that had a great soundtrack great little film too.

The missus liked it but thought it made the pregnancy seem too easy i siad thats beacuse real life women moan so much they blow it out of all porportion that in reality its a breeze.............

I liked the line when the guy from arrested dev. is showing the girl his room and she says " oh right she lets you have 1 room in your house for your stuff" so very true

As with most films that everyone goes on about if you go into them with high expectations you ll be dissapointed i saw No country for old men and thought it was nothing special either.
