The hunt cech incident was accidental. Bar the horrible man city tackle, his discipline record is decent enough.
i sense far too much negativity on this site being expressed towards stephen hunt. Cant possibly see why, as he always gives his all for his country.
This angle shows clearly that Hunt set out to hurt Cech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKws0...eature=related

he definitely lowers his knee down, he doesnt put in the boot, it certainly looks like he did it on purpose there the way he lowers his right knee down into cech.

I don't t hink so, at that speed you'd stand as much chance of injuring yourself by putting your knee in there, the Cech one was an accident for me, no excuse for the rash tackle at City this season though.

Terrible tackle by Carsley. Awful that he got off scot free.

Strange that you dont here any bitters around, giving out about that tackle and yet they still moan about the derby and Kuyt's yellow card tackle.

I like Hunt as a player. He works his ass off for his team and in my opinion should move at the end of the season. Hopefully, Reading will go down and this will give him the urge to move on.

it was bad tackle, I didn't know there was 'history' between those two. Hunt's flown in once or twice dangerously this season but I wouldn't say he's a dirty player.

It won't be 4-3-3 though, more like 4-5-1

As for Stephen Hunt, he's s**t. Completely over-rated. All Hunt is good for internationally is as an impact sub. I wouldn't start him in a month of Sundays cos all he is is a headless chicken. Yea he works his ass off, but he has to cos thats all he has to offer. He's our version of Dirk Kuyt, except twice as bad and ineffective.

I saw this incident discussed on the everton messageboard and people were saying that Hunt and Carsley were shaking hands and joking away from the play about 3 minutes after it happened. So maybe people are reading too much into it.

I didn't look like there was any intent there to me, the ball was high and he caught his thigh, it happened in a flash, when I say it first time I didn't think it was even a foul never mind deleberate. Things can look different in slow motion, it looks like people had more time and thus more choice in what happened when in reality it happened in a flash. Sames goes for Hunts tackle on Cech.

If you look at where he plants his right foot, under the red hoarding in the background and look at where contact took place, under the middle of the yellow hoarding you an see Cech has gone right through his leg and it is hard to
see how he could have avoided contact.

Didn't make much of an effort to get out of the way really. I have a strong suspicion that Hunt is a divisive charater, I have heard on the street that S.Ireland really really doesn't like him, but that is just gossip.

S.Ireland doesn't like a lot of people, I wouldn't hold that against Hunt, did Hunt make fun of his hair or something?
