lads on advice of friend i rang the paye revenue in my area and asked them for all my taxes to be balanced for the last 5 years called a p21 balance, it takes 2 minutes to asked them to do it and it is free, takes a couple of days for them to complete then they send a balancing statement to you , i got 79 euro back, 99% of people come out with money back and the 1% only owe a couple of euro. something most people dont do and everyone i know who has done it has made money

heres the email amyways.
In order to see if you are owed money, you'll need to contact the
Revenue on 1890 333 425. There is a voice activated service when it
answers and it asks for your PPS number. When you give this, it asks
what service you want, simply say "None of these" and wait for an
operator to continue. Ask him/her for a P21 Balancing Statement and get
it back-dated to 2002 or as far back as possible. They will check if all
your details are correct and send them out. If you are owed any money,
you get a tasty cheque from them within days. On the other hand (and
don't shoot me for this!!), if you owe them money, it will be taken from
you in the form of a reduction in your tax credits in the years to come.

Quite a few of my work colleagues done this last year. Some got as much as €700 back. Unfortunately I owed them €3. Very worth while if you have changed job or bought a house recently.

my sister made 6k out of it as she got married three years ago and was still being looked at as a single person same with husband, when she applied they noticed mistake and it was happy days

Got one done last year as I hadn't been claiming single parent family credits for 5 years
ended up getting three installment's totaling €8,500
