    Daily News Thread

I was looking at the pictures of that couple dropping their baby three floors to safety from a burning building this morning and thought to myself, 'I'm not sure if this deserves it's own thread on Foot', so after re-evaluating my life, morals and Foot's place within I've decided that it might be a good idea to start a thread for all the daily news topics that you feel don't really warrant a thread but you would like to comment on anyway, which brings me back to that baby picture.

Did anyone else notice that the papers didn't say if the baby's parents lived or died? That baby is an orphan now right? That piece of information just didn't fit into the happy ending the papers put out for that picture I'm assuming

8 o'clock news on Todayfm said that there were no confirmed reports as to weather the parents survived, but reading between the lines and the way it was worded it sounded like there wasn't much hope that they had survived

Just seen it there on CBS News on Sky. It said the parents survived, but the mother is injured. Actually spent two weeks in the town where it happened years ago.

    Greeks?
On the way into the stadium, an elderly San Marino Steward waved us in and said "Tonight, may the best team win"

    And they nearly did.

I feel low even talking about this but aren't the spice girls a right bunch of greedy insincere tramps?
See here for the reason they can't fulfil their asian tour.

    By the way, if ever a thread was current affairs . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Finally someone gets the theme of the thread!!

    Forget about the baby people!!

Oh and yes the Spice Girls are a bunch of money grabbing whores but, much like with Fianna Fail, I blame the fools who put the money in their hands

Ya, sad to say that that sort of thing isn't overly shocking or newsworthy nowadays, not when its happened in the states anyway.

A newborn baby girl survived an ignoble birth after slipping down the toilet bowl of a moving Indian train onto the tracks when a pregnant woman unexpectedly gave birth while relieving herself on Tuesday.

"My delivery was so sudden," said the Bhuri Kalbi, the mother of the infant, born two months prematurely. "I did not even realise that my child had slipped from the hole in the toilet."
