pretty poor game lads couldnt wait for it to finnish tbh, the lads looked a lot faster but that sharpness isnt there yet, first peno was the softest peno ive ever seen, second wasn't that bad either, reilly took them well anyway, we could and should have had another two, not much happened two teams had no match sharpness, i think it was 9 penos each, deasy saved two,

Yes it was a terrible game which didn't want to end. The first half was good but the second half was terrible.
The highlight of the 2nd half had to be Shane Barrett's shot ON TARGET!!!!!

About 30 of us ventured down from Cobh and dined at the salmonela van out the front and although I was cold I must say I enjoyed it and an away day was severely missed over the last few months.
We made it home for the second half of the United match too so it was a good day all round.

On the injury front it looked as if new signing Alan Kearney broke his nose. He was flattened early on in the first half and also Gareth Cambridge was due to start but was injured in the warm-up.

Introducing a new item............14's thought for the week:
"CRACKERS AND TEA MAKE AN AWAY DAY FUN"

Can someone post up the team please?
Who was this mysterious AN Other?

    Alan Carey was AN Other

    Deasy
    Carey Guthrie Murray J.Kearney
    Davin Barrett A.Kearney Cummins Muckie
    O'Reilly

Subs: Coleman on for A.Kearney(20 mins), C.Meade on for O'Reilly(H-T), King on for Barrett(68 mins), Long not used.

I'm guessing at the timing of the subs

Muckie was a class act alright. He was Man of the Match IMO.
There was some tiredness but that was just down to extra-time i'd say. Kenny Coleman looked very fit and energetic at left-back and was impressive throughout.
Deasy definetly lookd dodgy and was at fault for the 1st goal. He seemed to be very static at times and was rarely on his toes.

As for the foreign fella during extra-time, i didn't see him but I did see Ken Kiely sitting with Bilko, Cambridge and Johnny Meade. Doubt he was there to talk to Hendo though probably just there for old time sake.

Looks like Outside In could have been right after all.
When the team left for Waterford Saturday the gear was safely locked away inside the dressing rooms.
Hendo had to hop the gate and then he somehow got into the dressing rooms(i'll assume he used a key).
Understandably he wasn't happy and if i'm to believe what i heard he made it known that he wasn't happy to those that are in authority.

as i said thinks never change manys the time i have seen stuff missing , i remember once in sligo we were playing them in the cup big game big crowd up from cobh kick off 7.30 saturday night , i ended up running around sligo looking for shorts and socks for the keepers as they had been forgotten to be packed

our even better the time rams were playing drogheda away and drogheda had announced during the week there new sponsor was mcdonalds they had all the jerseys tracksuits etc big deal made, rams kit had been packed in cobh only they packed the home kit and no away kit. arrived in drogheda took out the gear and all that was there was claret home kit a near copy of droghedas new kit , they were forced by ref to wear there old away kit with old sponsor there was absolute war and we looked like right prats , lads that is rams that is why we love up, the frank spencer of eircom league
