15nil?? What happened there?????
Clew Bay fully deserved the win. We managed to contain them in the first half but they got two goals inside 20 mins of the 2nd half from set pieces, we managed to grab one back to make for an entertaining final 20 mins, thought we might pull something out of it but Clew Bay finished strong and grabbed the third 5 mins from the end.
They are a very solid, well organised side that will grind out the results and must be favourites to top league. Best of Luck to them.
15nil?? What happened there?????

heard that ballyglass only had 9 players on the pitch. will they pull out of league etc
well have a question if they pull out what happens to points. i.e they bet us in the first match of the year? is all there results gone?
yep agreed. the other question is if you don't field a team is it still 300 euro fine or if you give notice is this ok? it used to be if you gave notice to other team there was no action taken bar 3-0 win for team.![]()

no was just wondering if this applied. we will be there with bells and whissles. for the next week. squad is back to full strenght now. had alot of lads doing exams etc.
it is really not fair on team that can only field low numbers of players. all clubs find that is hard to field two team or even 3 for some. if you look at a bad injury run or even college exams and leaving cert it pulls down the number and this is only right. there should be some rule update that if a team knows that they are not going to be able to field 11 at least that 3-0 win should be applied without any fine etc. but if this happens 3 time then a fine applies. most clubs what to get more and more players into the cycle. that is why reserver football is there etc
No. Whats not fair is when a team fields 9 players against one team and then fields a strong team against an other. This causes smaller clubs to question their existence as their attempt to rise from basement football is so tough due to playing against teams that are playing higher league players in their 2nd and third teams. If clubs cannot fulfill their fixtures with an adequate number of players for each team they should not enter B and C teams. This practice of 'borrowing' A and B team players when the lower teams are stuck must cease.

Have to agree with that. A Team players should not have to be drafted in to play B or C football. If a club is tight on numbers then they should know this well in advance of season starting and if in any doubt should not enter a 2nd or 3rd team when they will have to rely on borrowing players. Its not a level pitch for others in the division cause they don't know what tem they will meet i.e. the real B or C team or a mix of As thrown in.
This case of B and C teams borrowing A team players also occurs when the B or C team reaches a cup final, suddenly lower league teams are playing teams in their division that might be half full of A team players

Castlebar Town 1 Cross Celtic 1. Tough physical game, town scored first in the second half and Cross levelled late on, thought town should have shaded it. The ref was shocking bad.![]()
