Tbh Id be surprised if a deal had been done. Mathews priority has been getting the players on board that we have to sign by tonight. We could sign Dav any time in the next month.
Maybe we're talking to him?
Nothing on 96 FM anymore
LESS OF THE BULL NOW!

Emotional times in Cobh....................sport is next
LESS OF THE BULL NOW!
Nothing on 96 or Red FM about this lads. If this were fact Ramblers would have released a statement. I get the Official Cork City press releases sent to me for something else and no mention of this at all. For footballing reasons I really hope he doesn't go. Who we gonna call 'Hitman' if he goes.
Just spoke to one of the players 5 min ago and he told me he was talkin to Dav earlier and is collecting him for training soon...TRAINING WITH RAMBLERS!
So hopefully its not thru...![]()
Lads, have it from rock solid source, Davin aint goin to City, if it was on 96fm then ring and complain, whatever about s**t stirring amongst ourselves were fair game as we choose to be on here but Davin is a young lad with a young family living in the town and he doesnt need this s**t going on.
I suggest that this thread be closed, straight away
"Some weeks the lady is good looking and some weeks they're not. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi". - Ian Holloway
I'm gonna complain. All at once now RED FM, RED FM, RED FM
Below is my complaint:
To: news@96fm.ie
To whom it may concern,
Why was it falsely announced on the evening news that Davin O'Neill had left Cobh Ramblers to sign for Cork City? This was not annouced by either Cork City or Cobh Ramblers. This story is untrue and unneccessary. It has caused a lot of panic amongst fans especially a few with weak hearts.
Please don't sh*t stir it's bad for your stations reputation.
Thank You.

You're not the only one who heard it, anyway I hope that's put to bed now.
''and I for one welcome our new insect overlords''
In a way I'm happy, I know how it feels to have your club 'raped' of its best players.

Lighten up Bella. To be perfectly honest with you R14 is spot on and it's his prerogative to complain if he feels there is just cause to, and in this case there is.
It's the responsibility of any Media organisation to clarify any source of information to justify publication/broadcast of any article/report of this nature. If 96FM went ahead and broadcast information of that nature without confirmation from the Club then they are held accountable for any distress caused to any individual and believe me it can. I nearly fell off my seat when I read it. I had Davin's Player Sponsorship covered in all but paying for it so I wasn't too pleased. I also spent time waiting and listening to the Sports news on hours 7 and 8 last night. I made upteen phone calls(two of them to contacts in the Media) to see if anyone could substanciate the alledged broadcast and no-one could. So yes, it does cause distress in certain quarters.
Regardless of whether or not Marco is working hard to get sponsorship from said business, it still doesn't justify publication of an unsubstanciated article and 96 will tell you this themselves. It knocks me how it was heard at 6 and not any time thereafter. Is it that someone within the club heard it at 6 and made the call to 96? Personally, I'd hold 96 accountable and not the person who gave them the information.
So to recap..........R14 is perfectly right.
