There are rumours it's been chopped altogether. It stopped, like everything else, because of the strike but it looks like NBC won't be buying a full season order. It has formally announced buying a full season order for all the other new shows that it has that were halted by the strike.

Yeah, if its unlikely to come backon the smaller networks due to high budget.

Actually the main obstacle to it on cable wouldn't be budget, there are quite a few pricey shows on those networks.
NBC Universal which owns NBC, USA Network (the top rated cable network) and Sci Fi (the most natural home for the show) has already shown a willingness to essentially transfer shows from the peacock to these sister networks but in the case of Bionic Woman the heads at Sci Fi would say no as it's written to target a more CW network style audience. Added to that is the presence of Katee Sackhoff and they wouldn't want one performer being a regular in two shows on the one network (she's also on BSG).
Essentially there are too many red flags for it to work as a transfer. Contrast that with the two new shows that have been retained by NBC. Chuck could move seamlessy to USA or Sci Fi while Life would also naturally fit into USA's style of programming.

Yeah, but again NBC poured millions more into Bionic woman and it does look terrific. The big Sci Fi channel hit, Battlestar Galactica costs pittance comapred to it. I'll try and dig up the article that specifically mentioned the cost as being the main factor. Agree with your post though
