Thing's are different at the club now to what Nutsy remembers. If we won't let Thomas Davis bully us then a small northside club certainly won't!

As Ger Rowe has declined all formal offers from clubs interested in signing him, he has been taken off Shamrock Rovers' transfer list.
"Despite the fact that Ger told us he doesn't want to play for Shamrock Rovers anymore and is willing to go 'anywhere', he has rejected every opportunity to leave," says Rovers' chairman Jonathan Roche.
"This series of events puts the club in an invidious position, but we have no option other than removing his name from the transfer list."
Shamrock Rovers' manager Pat Sculy adds: "The most disappointing aspect is that the player tried to force the club to release him on a free transfer.
"Ger's behaviour and disrespect towards the club and also to the board has made it near as nigh-on impossible for him to be involved in the first team squad again.
"Ger signed a new, three-year contract last July and Shamrock Rovers is a very professional football club. We honour all our contracts.
"But the player also has to honour that contract until we receive an offer that we're happy with. In the meantime the player will be training with underage teams.
"The perception may be that Shamrock Rovers doesn't have as much money as some clubs, but we will not be bullied by any football club or any player."

False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.
Note to younger players: when someone says you have international prospects, make sure it doesn't mean you'll have to leave the country to play first team football again.
Revenge for 2002
Very good player. Terrible waste.
Great player. Certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer though. He let Fenlon convince him that he could force Rovers into a free transfer. Silly boy. A lot of Rovers fans were hoping himself and Scully would patch things up. No going back now though. I'm sure a move to Bray might look a bit more attractive after a few weeks training with the under-16's. This guys's career already is and will continue to be littered with such incidents. He's got a serious attitude problem which I'm sure will stop him ever realising his potential. Good riddance.
We lead, they follow!!
What a statement by Scully....fair play to him ,that's exactly the way to treat a clown like Rowe....thats the way all players with inflated ego's should be treated....fair play to Rovers.![]()
