It was pretty obvious where our problems laid last with 62 goals conceded but so far we haven't signed many defenders, what is the story???
Barry Clancy is the only real out and out defender that we have had confirmed to sign although I suppose Barry Slattery could do a job at right full if we were really stuck.
Where are our centre backs????? Malone and the two byrnes are definitely gone so we need to get somebody in. Just over a month to go to the start of the season and realistically, we have to sign three centre backs at least in that time. Things don't really look good at the moment. Is there any word on Paul Donnelly? I haven't seen it confirmed that he has either signed or been released.

Alan mc Dermott was released due to work commitments. Haven't a clue about Donnelly and wouldn't be pushed either way if he left or not tbh.

McDermott is gone to play for Tolka Rovers.
I agree about Donnelly, his versatility was his only strong point although is being average in more than one position really being versatile?

Ah McDermott wasnt the worst I suppose, but he was prone to a few mistakes!

MacDermott was prone to overplaying the ball at times but what really let him down was his temperment. Such a pity as he could never be doubted on his commitment and the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.
I liked McDermott, he wasn't shy about getting stuck in, a player like this will be missed.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.
