YOU need to get fitter, Longfordian.

Paul Kelly was made an offer seemingly, but he doesnt seem to be training at the moment. Maybe he's sticking with GAA I dont know. Sean Kelly isn't under contract but is back training with us. I'd say he may well be signed again. Needs to get fitter though.

McAllister performed very well at last weekends trials - a speedy striker with nimble feet and a good all-round game. Excellent vision and a good strike on him.
I saw him a couple of times a few years ago when he was a Norn Iron international at U-16 or U-18 (can't remember ...) and he had great potential. Went to England for trials, but never made it there. Lost his way a bit since then, but appears to now be back better than ever. Seems to have matured a lot, as you would expect he's 20 now, and he could be a hidden gem in this side ...
Will be interesting to see how he performs in the friendly on Tues night ..
Interesting..I heard he's come very highly recommended by some of Aaron's contacts in the North. Haven't seen him at all but those who were at ast weekend's training were impressed. Hopefully he'll turn out to be a star!

Apparently he was at gillingham last year. All the talk of him is positive so hopefully we will have unearthed a goalscorer with him
If god wanted us to play football in the clouds he would have put grass up there!

I assume the majority of the lads are from the under 21s.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Yeah they're all from last year's under 21s apart from Brian Kelly as far as I know.

Anyone know what positions these fellas play in? And are they signed for thew 1st team squad or the 21's?
I'm not sure on their positions, I think Hussey is a midfielder from recollection. They're signed to be part of the first team squad I would say, but I'm sure those eligible for the under 20s will play with them also.

called into flancare on the way into town.. spoke to vinny gary murphy trained with us tonight and is signing for the club.. fantastic news!
asked vinny will be making a comeback he reckons he will be a better coach than manager! he is absolutely delighted with the way the club is run and there is always around five people in the club that can be relied on if the management needs anything...
reckon this could be a start of an new era for us.. one of the lads saw them train tonight he reckons we have some serious players in our squad this season. vinny confirmed that we will playin some attackin football like stephen kennys early days.. ronnie bs pal adrain cregg was also training tonight!

RIP JOHNNY
Any word on Alan Lynch! Heard from a bohs fan and close neighbour of his he was entusiastic bout signing a couple of weeks ago!!??
Pity gary murphy didnt stick with the gaa! He is highly overrated, he did f**k all with athlone and the only reason ppl think he is great is cause he is local.. Not a major addition to the squad at all

He has ability.Always looked a cut above in the 21s. Not blessed with great patience however. It'd be interesting to see how he'd get on over a season and if he'd stick it out if he doesnt get his game.

Alan Lynch, Darren Mckenna and Michael McCarthy.
Hopefully that Lynch chap might be the goalscorere we need.
He's the Bohs lad, right?
That's him alright.
No goals scored in pre season doesn't bode well. I don't think young Lynch has featured much so far though.
is that the Darren McKenna who was at Mons, went to Oz and then went to Kildare County?
Was with shels as far as I know
