For those fans of the show, I see the new series of Rescue Me is back on RTE on Sunday night at 11.

I never followed it on purpose as such but it seemed to be on at the same time i hit the bed and there was never anything else on at that time so ended up watching a good bit of the last series or 2 on sky one and its actually very good.

Sunday at 11 is another watch it in bed time so should follow this series too!

The end of the show really trew me off as i thought the reason he was facing jail was because sheila died in the fire and maybe he was gettin the blame.....but no,she was pretty much alive.
She also mentioned somthing about F'in up there chances of a 2 million dollar claim or somthing along the lines...Was the fire on purpose or an accident?

Watched it off and on over different channels for a few years. I like it alot, but the constant cynicism can jar after a while.

There's the occasional quality guest star in it too.

I hope the Jesus Christ character is still in it ...that he hasn't being killed off.

Anyone else think that shiela is faking her own death so herself and tommy can get the insurance money? Heard it here first ladies

The fire was started because SPOILER:
during series 3, sheila has been drugging tommy with a combination of sleeping pills and viagra, and basically raping him in his sleep
at the end of the last series, they were all set to buy the house when Tommy decided to not to leave the FDNY, go back to his wife and raise the child that is possibly his brother's with her
Sheila is not too thrilled about this, and drugs him up for some more unconscious sex in the house, but knocks over candles (or a gas light, or something, I can't remember) and starts the fire
She runs out to get help from anyone to drag a still unconscious Tommy out of the house
Since Tommy was out of it, he can't remember what happened, and is going along with Sheila's story so they don't get accused of insurance fraud
