Clinton Morrison's omission?

the difference between clinton morrison and alan lee/connolly is that clinton has previously played quite well for ireland so has already proved that he can do the job

In fairness I don't remember seeing Morrisson have a complete nightmare for Ireland and he is playing well at the moment.

Scoring plenty of goals in the Championship and deserves a recall to the senior squad.

Clinton also has personality. Personality goes a long way.

You may laugh but from what I hear of the squad dynamic Clinton's personality would be very welcome.

I agree he should be in the squad but I don't think the reason you are stating is why he is not

Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has revealed his frustration after being snubbed by Republic Of Ireland caretaker boss Don Givens for their showcase friendly with Brazil, writes Simon Fitzjohn.
Morrison, who sits second in the Championship scoring charts with 13 goals this season, had hoped his excellent form may push him back into the reckoning.
But the forward, who has struck nine goals in 34 appearances for the national side, once again found himself out in the cold.

fair play morrisson, at least he gets on with it, not saying i should definitely be in there etc etc, and good to see he enjoys playing for Ireland!!!

Always liked the clint!! I think he deserves to be in there alright!

I'd be very surprised if he wasn't part of any new managers plans.

I think Clinton deserves a place in the squad anyway. Hold up the ball well and gets the odd goal. Surely worth a place on the bench anyway.

he will never displace the other two while they are fit and in form but he is a great option and a proven one
