    Castlebar 1 0 0 1 3 5 -2 0
    Urlaur 1 0 0 1 2 6 -4 0

Few interesting developments already, noatably Westports inability to score in two games. They might find it tough to retain their title this year, with the two teams demoted from the Super League looking stronger then last years counterparts. I know it's very early days, but I fancy the top two teams, S+F and Fahy, to still be there at the end of the season. I don't know how strong Castlebar are this year but they should play a big part in the shake-up too. I heard that Glenhest lost a couple of players, one to Snugboro anyway, but don't know if thats accurate? Anyone know the score there? I think it was Leo Coyne that was mentioned as having gone to Snugboro. If that's true it's a big loss to them, he was their best player for the last two seasons anyway. Again, this could be just a rumour! Any verification on this or how do people see the season going??
i saw the glenhest team on some of the papers there last week and they seem to have a lot of new faces in the team.didn't see james gillespie's name down there but i'm sure that he'll feature in the upcoming game against us this weekend.another notable absentee was paul coady who won player of the year in the premier division when they won it a few years ago.is he still playing with them does anybody know?i saw padraig macmanaman's name down-surely thats not the same padraig that must be nearing his fifties at this stage??!!

Glenhest will be tough to beat away from home but I think the gaelic might be clashing with the soccer this weekend and from past experience the loyality lies with the gaelic for the Glenhest lads...

Paul Cody plays rugby for Castlebar now, hes their main player. Dont know if he still plays gaelic with Burrishoole or soccer with Glenhest

Yeah that table is upsidedown Cloggs, thought it might add to the dramatic tension. Interesting stuff regarding Glenhest, although I'd say they will still be alright. Anyone know which of the lads play Gaelic? I heard James Gillespie was playing GA anyway. Paul Coady is a big loss if he's gone, their best player the last few seasons. Leo Coyne is playing for Snugboro now. Ten four.

Fahy and S & F is the big one this weekend and I reckon Fahy will come up trumps although it will be tight...

Still early days. As with previous seasons, at least half of the fixtures will need to be played before we can get a true reflection of what is happening. Good start for ourselves, S & F and Crossmolina. I think there is better to come from Glenhest & Celtic B and Kilmore will cause a few headaches as the season goes on.
Has there been any sort of preview in any of the local papers for the prem league??

good man r.rover-top of the league you're having a laugh-still though i'd be very very wary of the bad kickout from the keeper
