I would recommend you go to the Ballyheane V Erris game which is on 2.30 on Sunday, from an unbias opinion this is the tie of the round with 2 top division sides on show and Ballyheanes facilities are very good. Only about 7 miles from Castlebar.

You must have some connection to a team in Mayo??

Thanks - it is on Saturday that I am looking to see a game or two. I have no connections with any team in Mayo - I live in London.

    9 games on Saturday evening.

Inver United Castlebar Celtic Inver 24/05/2008 18:30
    Too Far
Westport United B Castlebar Celtic C Sports Park 24/05/2008 18:30
Big rivalry but should be an easy win for Westport. Don't go to this
Ballyglass Partry Athletic Ballyglass 24/05/2008 18:30
Might be a bit of a derby and Ballyglass have a nice set up but wouldn't be the most entertaining game.
Castlebar Town Ballina Town B Moneen 24/05/2008 18:30
    Do not go watch this!
Ballyvary Blue Bombers Snugboro United B Keelogues 24/05/2008 18:30
Played a couple of weeks ago and it was dross, don't watch
    Snugboro United Ballyglass B Snugboro 24/05/2008 18:30
Like watching Brazil(don't watch though-shouldn't be much of a contest, famous last words)
    Straide & Foxford Kiltimagh/Knock United B Green Road Foxford 24/05/2008 18:30
S&F have begun the season brilliantly so should also not be much of a contest-Don't watch
    Swinford B Killala Cloonaboy Swinford 24/05/2008 18:30
Eh no, don't watch this either
Castlebar Celtic B Manulla Celtic Park 24/05/2008 18:30
Probably the best game to go to. Celtic B have a strong B side and should be up for this game against Manulla. Manulla are playing well also. Cup upset might be on the cards. Plus its in Castlebar which is central so shouldn't be tough to find. Few pints then after the game downtown. Perfect.

manulla and celtic b game was postponed due to a death in castlebar.

good win for westport as they seem to be a bit under the cosh this season after winning the league last year.from what i saw of their team sheet this year they still seem to have the same bunch of players as last season.maybe wrong there but could anyone from westport let me know if this is true?whats happened to yee this year?
as for glenhest they really need to start picking up a few points if they're to survive this year and not go into free fall.good point away to cross who are hard to beat especially at home.
s and f seem to be pulling away from everyone else at this stage although its still early doors yet but they must surely be favourites to win the league

Just looking at the league table there, it must be great to be a S&F/Fahy/Crossmolina player, ye are virtually guaranteed at least a play off place for next years Super League, other top 6 teams are all B teams, next team is Glenhest and by all accounts they are struggling big time this year. I myself think that b teams should be allowed to be promoted, if a team is good enough let them up.....

Ya early days yet but the league seems to be taken shape, s&f have it in there own hands at this stage, but second half of the season to come anything can happen. swinford seem to be in bother, they need to start pickin up points. celtic b will have a say in things as will fahy, celtic have 2 games in hand but games in hand count for nothing some times...

when will these outstanding fixture be played??

Should have been put in place years ago, its farcical that a team 3rd or 4th from bottom can get into a play off.

Is there a website where I can find the full addresses of the grounds in the Mayo League? I particularly need the addresses of the clubs who are playing this Saturday evening and also contact telephone numbers of a club official so that I can check that the matches are definitely on. Thanks.

No, I am just travelling a long way so I need to make sure I can find the ground and make sure the match is on.

The mayo league are better organised than ya think and games are not likely to be called off this weekend, at least without a few days notice and you can check Aertel for updates the night before: http://www.rte.ie/aertel/rte2/440-01.html to make sure.

    Enjoy...

    Paper Report

did anyone else read tom kellys report in the connacht this week, with regards to the mayo team this year and all the different changes that might come into play.

if the mayo team was to be just players from the premier and lower, what would the team be??? would it be strong enough to contend? I myself think it wouldnt be strong enough, but i do see there point with some super league players not comin forward for the mayo team because of the club been involved in FAI etc..

    is it a good idea?
