    Bohs skipper fed up

Kevin Hunt has admitted that the champions’ form so far this season has been ridiculous and that they have got to sort it out soon or their hopes of retaining the championship will be finished.

Last years title winners sit in the bottom half of the table, six points behind leaders Shelbourne and only two points of a relegation playoff spot. It has been a difficult start to the season for he Dublin club and their 1-1 draw with second from bottom Longford Town was not what the doctor ordered on Friday night. Bohs came from behind to earn the draw at Dalymount Park and it put and end to their two game losing streak.

Club captain Kevin Hunt is annoyed the way the season has started but believes the players have only themselves to blame.

“It has got to a ridiculous stage now. We keep giving the opposition a head start and giving ourselves a mountain to climb almost every game,” fumed Hunt after the Longford game.

“I thought we deserved the win but we conceded early on yet again and that was the worst aspect of the performance. At least we got a draw out of it in the end. But we have got to get ourselves sorted soon. We are being punished for every mistake.

“At least we stopped the rot but with the greatest respect to Longford Town, we should be winning these games.”

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Kevin Hunt is the only player entitled to make comments like that because he is the only player performing with any consistency (apart from Shay Kelly who has been ****e in every game so far ) Its no wonder Hunt's frustrated carrying a bunch of under-performers almost single-handedly all season
