Hull's under 21 captain, who has been on the first-team bench in recent weeks but hasn't yet played, has joined Carlisle on loan for a month. He had earlier been linked with a loan to Reading to get first-team experience. Instead, he joins another former UCD player, Georgie Kelly, thereat Carlisle, who has nine goals this season. Mark Hughes is the manager as they look to get back to League Two.
Parker joined Hull at the same time as another UCD player, Cathal McCarthy, and McCarthy has already played first team for Hull. Don't know if either has enough to threaten for a future Ireland squad, but they're worth keeping an eye on all the same.
